Who are Design Trip

Discovering Design Trip is like opening a travel journal, that of Maxence, a passionate adventurer who answered the call of distant Bali. For two and a half years, he explored its bustling streets, serene beaches, and dense forests. But beyond the landscapes, it was the richness of Balinese craftsmanship that captivated him. Each sculpture, each piece of furniture told a story that deserved to be shared. After two and a half years of immersion, instead of mere memories, he returns with a vision: to share these hidden treasures with the world.

Upon returning to northern France, enriched by these treasures and memories, Maxence wanted to create a sanctuary for these artistic gems, a showcase for this world of talented artisans. And who better than his own brother, Hugo, to understand and enrich this vision? Trained by the Compagnons du Devoir in cabinetmaking and joinery, Hugo possessed not only the technical mastery to work with these exotic woods, but also an artistic eye to transform them into masterpieces.

In the workshop adjoining the boutique, Hugo breathes life into these precious woods, creating bespoke pieces that fuse Balinese authenticity with a contemporary French touch.
